The exhibition focuses on women – their strength, beauty, and fragile sensitivity. The artist’s expressive works combine portraits and abstractions, interwoven with motifs of golden cracks – a reference to the Japanese philosophy of kintsugi, which speaks of restoring beauty through broken lines. “The human soul also becomes stronger and more experienced over the years through small breaks. It is important to know how to repair them,” says the artist herself.
Katrin Karu’s work is characterized by an expressive painting style and large formats. Her structural and large-scale paintings, which quickly gained popularity, have already found their way into private collections in Germany, France, Spain, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Estonia.
All of the paintings in the exhibition are available for purchase.
